LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) here has declared six accused, including Khadija Shah, as absconders in the Jinnah House attack case.
The court has also issued perpetual warrants for their arrest.
The six accused in the Jinnah House attack case are: Khadija Shah, Faisal Akhtar, Adil Saeed, Syed Arsalan, Qasim Munas and Abdullah Hassan. They failed to appear for trial, prompting the court to label them absconders.
The government’s lawyer informed the court that Khadija Shah went into hiding after being convicted in a May 9 case and has not appeared due to fear of arrest. Despite being given an opportunity to surrender, none of the accused appeared.
On September 20, 2025, Khadija Shah challenged her conviction in the arson case in the Lahore High Court. Through her lawyer, Samir Khoso, Shah filed an appeal claiming she had no connection to the case. She asserted that she had been politically framed in the case.
It is worth noting that the ATC had earlier granted one-day attendance relief to Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan and Azma Khan in the May 9 arson cases. In addition, the court extended the bail hearing dates for other accused until October 31.
