Khawaja Asif approaches London police over death threat
Pakistan's high commission in London says that defense minister has formally filed a complaint with police.
LONDON: Defense Minister and PML-N stalwart Khawaja Muhammad Asif has formally filed a complaint with the London police against a group of people who recently harassed and threatened to kill him in London.
Pakistan’s high commission in London in a press statement said that the defense minister had formally filed a complaint with the police for initiating action against the culprits. The statement said that the police had initiated work to investigate the case.
Khawaja Asif told the police that the incident happened at 3pm on November 11. He said he was in the UK on a private visit and was travelling along with a friend on Elizabeth Lines when three or four members of a family harassed him, made his video without permission, used foul language and threatened to stab him to death.
the minister said that eh did not know anyone of the suspects, and the London transport police could trace the culprits through the CCTV footage of the transport system.
It may be noted that Pakistani supporters of PTI living in the UK have been targeting PML-N leaders and they also did not spare former chief justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa when he was visiting London soon after his returement.
