Modi regime bans political party in occupied Kashmir
Earlier, Indian regime arrested Shabbir Ahmed Shah, chairman of Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party.
Continuing its Hindutva ideology, the Modi regime of India has banned Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (KDFP) headed by Shabbir Ahmed Shah.
Shah, who is a senior Hurriyat leader, has already been detained illegally by the Modi regime.
The DFP has been raising voice for the people of Kashmir and struggling to get the longstanding dispute resolved in accordance with their aspirations and the UN resolutions.
However, Shah has to face India’s wrath for opposing its illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. He has spent half of his life in Indian jails for championing the Kashmir cause and is presently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar jail.
APHC leaders in their statements condemned India’s brutal tactics and said these cannot subdue the Kashmiris’ resolve from their struggle till they achieve freedom from the Indian yoke.
The DFP in a statement said Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory and the Indian government has no locus standi whatsoever to ban an organization or declare it as unlawful association merely for seeking a peaceful resolution of the lingering dispute.
