ISLAMABAD: State Bank of Pakistan has announced the issuance of a Rs75 commemorative coin to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
According to the central bank, the special coin will be available to the public from May 25. The initiative aims to celebrate the longstanding and strategic partnership between the two countries.
The coin features a crescent and star along with the inscription “Islamic Republic of Pakistan” on one side. The reverse side prominently displays the national flags of Pakistan and China, symbolising enduring friendship and cooperation. It also includes inscriptions in Urdu, English and Chinese, highlighting the significance of the milestone.
Pakistan and China have maintained close diplomatic, economic and strategic relations since the establishment of ties in 1951. Over the decades, this partnership has expanded across multiple sectors, including trade, infrastructure development and regional connectivity.
The issuance of the commemorative coin is being seen as a symbolic gesture to honour the historic relationship and reaffirm mutual commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.
