Pakistan concerned about terror threat from Afghanistan: FO

Spokesperson says Kabul should take action against terror outfits; India involved in terrorism in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Thursday said Afghanistan should stop use of its soil by terrorists to carry out their activities in Pakistan and hand over heads of terror outfits operating from the country.

In her weekly press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch also accused India of orchastrating terror activities in Pakistan.

She said Pakistan had raised its concerns over terror threat emanating from Afghanistan and asked authorities in Kabul to take effective action against terror entities and hand over their leadership to Pakistan.

She said India was involved in terrorist incidents inside Pakistan. She said that Pakistan had exposed Indian involvement in terrorism in Pakistan through evidence that New Delhi could not deny.

Ms Baloch added that Pakistan would continue moral and diplomatic support to the people of occupied Kashmir in their struggle for self-determination and freedom from Indian occupation.

About the killing of nine Pakistani laborers in Saravan area of Iran, the spokesperson said this was an inhumane act which has been condemned both by Pakistan and Iran. She said Pakistan expected the Iranian authorities to share details of the attack as soon as the investigation into the incident is completed.

She called for full implementation of International Court of Justice’s judgment to uphold human rights, dignity and identity of Palestinian people as per the UN charter and international laws.
