DHAKA: The Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 128 runs in the second One Day International (ODI) of the three-match series played in Dhaka.
The match, played under the captaincy of Shaheen Shah Afridi, saw Bangladesh win the toss and choose to field first.
Pakistan were bowled out for 274 runs in 48 overs.
Muaz Sadaqat played a brilliant innings, scoring 75 runs off 46 balls, including 6 fours and 5 sixes.
Salman Ali Agha contributed 64 runs with 7 fours and 2 sixes.
Mohammad Rizwan scored 44 runs.
Sahibzada Farhan made 31 runs, while Faheem Ashraf added 14 runs.
For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain took 3 wickets, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed 2 wickets.
Due to rain interruptions, the target was revised using the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method, giving Bangladesh a target of 243 runs in 32 overs.
Chasing the revised target, Bangladesh were bowled out for 114 runs in the 24th over.
Litton Das was the top scorer with 41 runs. Towhid Hridoy scored 28, and Saif Hassan added 12 runs.
From Pakistan, Muaz Sadaqat and Haris Rauf took 3 wickets each. Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed 2 wickets.
With this victory, the three-match ODI series is now level at 1-1. Bangladesh had won the first match earlier in the series.
