ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan held a meeting with a delegation from the European Parliament at the Ministry of Commerce.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen Pakistan–European Union relations under the GSP Plus framework. The discussions focused extensively on enhancing bilateral trade, promoting investment, advancing human rights, and fostering sustainable development.
Minister Jam Kamal Khan briefed the European delegation on Pakistan’s recent reforms, the government’s efforts for the protection of human rights, and initiatives undertaken to address climate change and environmental challenges.
He also invited European investors to take advantage of the diverse opportunities available in various sectors of Pakistan’s economy, emphasizing the country’s potential for inclusive and long-term economic growth.
Both parties expressed a shared resolve to expand cooperation for the promotion of trade, investment, and sustainable progress.
The members of the European Parliament appreciated Pakistan’s commitment to transparency, governance reforms, and policy continuity, acknowledging the positive direction of its socio-economic agenda.
They also reiterated their determination to further consolidate and deepen the strategic partnership between Pakistan and the European Union.
