RAWALPINDI: The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) has revealed that officers of Indian intelligence agencies have been directly involved in terrorist activities within Pakistan.
In a media talk, ISPR Director General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said Indian Army officer Major Sandeep has admitted to planning and supervising terrorist operations from Balochistan to Lahore.
Sharing details, he said on September 24, Indian intelligence operative Sukhwinder identified an explosive material location in the Barnala Bhimber area of Azad Kashmir. Later, terrorist Abdul Majeed acquired the explosives from that site. On October 13, Abdul Majeed carried out a bomb attack on a military vehicle in the Bagh district, injuring three Pakistan Army soldiers. He said that the terrorist received Rs180,000 from his Indian handler for carrying out the attack.
DG ISPR stated that this incident was a clear example of India’s interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs and its efforts to promote terrorism. Pakistani security agencies will continue to take strict action against such elements.
He said on November 22, Sukhwinder identified the place near Head Marala to Majeed to get the bomb, the terrorist received the destroyed drone and IED from that place. On November 30, Majeed planted the IED on the military vehicle in Jalalpur Jattan, which injured four soldiers, he said, adding the terrorist received Rs656,000 on completion of the task.
General Sharif said Major Sukhwinder provided the location of the IED near Kotli on March 18 and on March 19 this suspicious bag near Kotli was pointed out by schoolchildren. The army unit recovered a bomb from the suspicious bag near Kotli. On the recovery of the bomb in Kotli, the Indian media falsely propagated the recovery of five bombs in occupied Kashmir.
On April 22, 2025, Sukhwinder delivered the IED near Nadla, on April 23, Sukhwinder tasked the terrorist to bomb the bus stand.
