Pakistan Received $3.5bn In Remittances In June: SBP

KARACHI: Overseas Pakistanis remitted $3.5 billion in June 2026, up 2% year-on-year, while total inflows for FY2025-26 reached $41.6 billion, an 8.6% increase over the previous fiscal year, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The central bank said June remittances declined 18.3% month-on-month, but were 2% higher than in the corresponding month last year.

During June, the largest inflows came from Saudi Arabia ($829.6 million), followed by the United Arab Emirates ($792.2 million), the United Kingdom ($514.9 million) and the United States ($296.8 million).

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked overseas Pakistanis for sending $41.6 billion in remittances during FY2025-26, saying the increase reflected their confidence in the government’s policies.

He said overseas Pakistanis were a valuable national asset and assured that their welfare would remain among the government’s top priorities.
