Pakistan-U.S. Trade Talks Signal Stronger Economic Partnership and Future Growth

WASHINGTON D.C.: Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer in Washington, D.C., to advance trade negotiations between the two countries.

The high-level meeting aimed to strengthen economic cooperation and expand bilateral trade. Both delegations expressed satisfaction with the progress and reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening economic ties.

The discussions covered a wide range of sectors with strong potential, including technology, mineral resources, and agriculture. Minister Aurangzeb noted that the U.S. remains Pakistan’s largest trading partner, highlighting the importance of diversifying trade beyond traditional industries.

The U.S. officials welcomed Pakistan’s efforts to modernize its economy and improve market access. They recognized the mutual benefits of closer collaboration in emerging sectors, particularly digital services and clean energy.
