WASHINGTON: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held a meeting with the U.S. Secretary of Commerce in Washington. Both sides agreed to enhance trade cooperation and promote investment opportunities across key sectors.
During the discussions, the U.S. showed interest in Pakistan’s IT, energy, and mining sectors, with talks centered around increasing American investments.
The meeting also set the stage for the upcoming U.S.-Pakistan Trade and Investment Forum on March 31, where major companies from both nations are expected to participate.
The Finance Minister extended an invitation to the U.S. Department of Commerce to join the forum, while both parties agreed to continue talks on large-scale projects and reaffirmed their commitment to taking economic cooperation to the next level.
