LAHORE: NAB presents PML-N leader Khawaja Asif in accountability court in Lahore, the court accepted the 14-day physical remand of Khawaja Asif and handed him over to NAB.
NAB Prosecutor Asim Mumtaz while requesting 15 days physical remand of Khawaja Asif said that assets in excess of income from PMLN leader should be investigated in the case. However, Khawaja Asif said that first I was interrogated in Rawalpindi, there was found nothing from me, thenI they sent me Lahore now.
Judge Jawad-ul-Hassan remarked that this is the first remand so the NAB’s plea is accepted. The accountability court ordered that Khawaja Asif be produced again on January 14. In a brief conversation with the media, Khawaja Asif said that Imran Khan was behind his arrest.
