LONDON: The Pakistani High Commission in London has introduced new measures to make consular services more efficient and accessible for Pakistani nationals living in the United Kingdom.
According to officials, the High Commission conducted a transparent and competitive procurement process in line with the regulations of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA). The process, which involved locally registered companies, took around four months to complete.
The initiative aims to improve service delivery for overseas Pakistanis, particularly those living in remote areas, by reducing both time delays and travel costs.
As part of the upgraded arrangements, the High Commission confirmed that consular services will continue to be available from multiple UK cities, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford, and Glasgow.
Additionally, special arrangements have been made to ensure services are available on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) through a service provider, allowing a greater number of applicants to access facilities conveniently.
Officials say the move is designed to strengthen outreach to the Pakistani diaspora and improve overall public service efficiency.
