Supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the IT and digital sector has moved into a new phase of expansion, innovation, and global integration.
This progress has been visible on multiple fronts. Pakistan has successfully hosted major international technology gatherings, including ITCN Asia 2026, positioning the country as an emerging hub for global tech dialogue. Alongside this, initiatives such as Indus AI Week 2026 have helped spread awareness and skills in artificial intelligence, encouraging students and professionals to engage with future-focused technologies.
The private sector has also played a key role in this growth story. The expansion of Supernet Global has strengthened Pakistan’s digital infrastructure and contributed to rising digital exports, improving foreign exchange inflows and overall sector confidence.
On the policy side, strategic efforts facilitated the launch of the 5G spectrum, a milestone widely seen as the foundation for next-generation connectivity and innovation across industries. This advancement is expected to accelerate everything from mobile services to smart business solutions across the country.
To ensure that young people are not left behind in this transformation, the Ministry of IT introduced a nationwide training initiative called “AI Seekho 2026.” The program focuses on equipping the youth with modern digital and AI skills, preparing them for future job markets.
Together, these developments reflect a broader shift in Pakistan’s startup and innovation ecosystem. With the startup sector now valued at over four billion dollars, the country’s digital journey since 2020 shows clear signs of acceleration and growing global relevance.
