Pakistan’s New Consulate Chancery Opened in Jeddah

JEDDAH: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar officially inaugurated the new building of Pakistan’s consulate chancery in Jeddah.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, Saudi officials and Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani.

According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tahir Hussain Andrabi, the inauguration was a significant occasion that saw the hoisting of the Pakistani flag and the planting of trees at the new chancery. Participants at the ceremony prayed for the progress, stability and prosperity of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

During the event, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar lauded the efforts of the Pakistani consulate in Saudi Arabia and expressed his appreciation for the cooperation extended by Saudi authorities. He highlighted the government’s commitment to providing effective consular services to Pakistanis living abroad.

Following the review of the new building and its facilities, Dar approved the transfer of all consular services from the old building to the new one. With nearly 1.8 million Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia’s western region, the new consulate building is expected to significantly improve consular services for the expatriate community.
