ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari following the success of the Pakistan Peoples Party in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
In his statement, the prime minister praised the peaceful and transparent conduct of the elections and extended congratulations to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for their active participation in the democratic process.
He acknowledged that the Pakistan Peoples Party had emerged as the majority political force in the elections, calling their victory deserving of appreciation.
Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the successful candidates of Pakistan Muslim League (N), commending their strong performance and efforts during the elections campaign. He appreciated party workers for their dedication and hard work.
The prime minister further extended his congratulations to all winning candidates and lauded the voters of Gilgit-Baltistan for their enthusiastic participation.
He emphasized that peaceful and transparent elections reflect the strength of democracy and praised the role of the Election Commission, police, and law enforcement agencies in ensuring a fair electoral process.
