PM reconstitutes economic coordination body

Chairman replaced with new finance minister Aurangzeb Khan.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reconstituted the Economic Coordination Committee, the office of the prime minister stated on Sunday.

The prime minister has replaced the chairman of the Coordination Committee. Now Finance Minister Aurangzeb Khan will head the committee. The government also issued a notification about the reconstruction of the coordination committee.

Besides the chairman, the ministers for economic affairs, commerce, power, petroleum abd planning and special reforms will be members of the committee.

Earlier, the portfolio of the chairman of the Economic Coordination Committee was with the prime minister.
