In 1965 war: The brave officers of the Pakistan Army alone took dozens of Indian soldiers hostage

In the 1965 war between Pakistan and India, Pakistan made a new history of courage. On the third day of the war, Lieutenant Colonel Naseerullah Babar turned his serious mistake into a victory.

On the third day of the war, the Pakistani armed forces continued to terrorize the enemy. Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri continued to make unsuccessful attempts to allay the fears of the Pakistan Air Force against his own nation.

Fierce fighting broke out in Chhamb sector and 500 Indian soldiers were taken prisoner and 15 tanks and other weapons were seized. Lieutenant Colonel Naseerullah Babar, who later became Major General, mistakenly landed his helicopter at an Indian position in Bhimber sector.

But he turned his serious mistake into a great success and made 30 Indian soldiers prisoners of war. Naseerullah Babar gave the impression to the Indian troops that the Pakistani army had besieged them while at that time Naseerullah Babar had only one pistol.

Not only that, Pakistan Air Force shot down 3 out of 6 Indian fighter jets. Flight Lieutenant Hakeemullah and Flight Officer Abbas Mirza landed two Indian planes at Kopserur Airfield. Flight Lieutenant Hakimullah later became the Chief of Air Staff.

On the third day (September 3) of the 1965 war between Pakistan and India, Indian Air Force pilot squadron leader Brij Pal Singh was taken prisoner of war and later became an Air Marshal of the Indian Air Force. Two Indian planes fled the scene.
