ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Türkiye on an official visit after concluding his trip to Qatar, according to an official statement here.
On arrival at Antalya airport, the Prime Minister was received by Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Türkiye Yousaf Junaid and senior diplomatic officials were also present on the occasion.
According to the statement, the Prime Minister will attend the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where he will represent Pakistan’s position in the leaders’ panel.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other world leaders.
The visit comes amid intensified diplomatic engagement by Pakistan, including efforts related to Pakistan’s facilitation of talks between the United States and Iran. Officials said the second round of discussions between the two sides is expected to take place in Islamabad next week.
The Prime Minister’s recent regional tour included visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar before arriving in Türkiye.
