ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed on an important official visit to Saudi Arabia with planned visits also scheduled to Qatar and Türkiye from April 15 to 18.
According to official details, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi are accompanying the Prime Minister on the visit.
During the trip, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold meetings with the leadership of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, where discussions will focus on bilateral cooperation as well as regional peace and security.
He will also travel to Türkiye to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where he is expected to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other global leaders on the sidelines of the event.
The visit is aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and enhancing cooperation with key regional partners at a time when talks are envisaged to end the war between the US and Iran and restore peace in the Middle through mediation efforts by Pakistan.
