PM Signals US–Iran Peace Deal, Signing Expected Within 24 Hours

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced that Pakistan is making preparations for the anticipated electronic signing of a peace agreement between Iran and the United States, which he said is expected to be finalized within the next 24 hours.

In a statement shared on social media platform X on Saturday, the Prime Minister said that once the agreement is finalized and electronically signed, the next phase of the process will involve technical-level discussions scheduled to take place next week.

He noted that these talks would help advance the implementation and follow-up aspects of the understanding reached between the two sides.

Expressing optimism about the progress achieved through the negotiations, Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan remains confident that the proposed agreement will provide a strong and durable foundation for lasting peace, constructive engagement, and enhanced regional cooperation. He described the expected deal as a positive development that could contribute significantly to reducing tensions and fostering a more stable environment in the wider region.

The Prime Minister also commended both the United States and Iran for their continued commitment to dialogue and diplomacy throughout the negotiation process. He said the willingness demonstrated by both sides to remain engaged in discussions reflects a shared desire to pursue peaceful solutions through mutual understanding and cooperation.

Shehbaz Sharif further conveyed Pakistan’s sincere appreciation to the brotherly countries of the region for their support and constructive role during the negotiations. He acknowledged their contributions to the diplomatic efforts that helped create a favorable atmosphere for progress and encouraged continued regional cooperation in support of peace and stability.

According to the Prime Minister, Pakistan views the expected agreement as a potentially historic milestone that could open a new chapter in relations between the United States and Iran while reinforcing broader efforts aimed at promoting dialogue, trust-building, and long-term peace across the region.

Although the negotiations appear to be nearing completion, official confirmation regarding the finalization and signing of the agreement is still awaited from the concerned parties.
