ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has awarded party tickets to five additional candidates for the upcoming general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), following approval from party president.
According to an official notification, the party has nominated the following candidates:
– LA-8 Raj Mahal: Malik Muhammad Nawaz Khan
– LA-18 Abbaspur: Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen Gulshan
– LA-22 Tordar: Sardar Abdul Khaliq Wasi
– LA-36 Jammu-3: Muhammad Ahsan Raza
– LA-41 Valley-II: Muhammad Amir Shah.
These nominations expand the party’s preparations for the AJK elections, with the candidates set to contest under the PML-N banner.
Meanwhile, the party has already issued tickets to 37 candidates on June 18, bringing the total number of officially nominated candidates significantly higher ahead of the election campaign.
The announcement comes as political parties intensify their efforts to secure support across Azad Kashmir, where election activities have gathered momentum following the completion of the nomination process.
The upcoming elections are expected to be closely watched, with major political parties competing for representation in the AJK Legislative Assembly.
