ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan arrived in Islamabad on a two-day visit to Pakistan on Wednesday night.
The Turkish President accompanied by his spouse and a delegation was welcomed at Nur Khan Airbase Chaklala by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and others.
On Thursday morning, he reached the Prime Minister House where a guard of honor was presented to him.
In addition, a formation of F-16 aircraft presented a flypast to the Turkish President and saluted the distinguished guest.
Late last night, the Turkish president arrived at Nur Khan Air Base along with the first lady, investors and business leaders.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was also given a 21-gun salute.
According to Foreign Office, Prime Sharif and President Erdogan will co-chair the 7th session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
At the conclusion of the session, a joint declaration and a number of agreements and MoUs are expected to be signed.
