President Zardari to Visit China This Week

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to undertake an official visit to China later this week, with preparations for the high-level trip nearing completion, according to official sources.

During the visit, President Zardari is expected to hold meetings with senior Chinese leadership to discuss matters of bilateral cooperation, regional stability, and the further strengthening of Pakistan-China relations.

Sources said that the president will also share Pakistan’s perspective on ongoing diplomatic efforts and regional mediation initiatives. The visit comes at a time of heightened regional diplomatic activity and is being viewed as significant for advancing strategic engagement between Islamabad and Beijing.

Reports further suggest that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari may accompany the president during the visit.

The official engagements are expected to focus on expanding cooperation in political, economic, and strategic domains between the two close allies.
