Religious scholars from all sects and schools of thought have called on the youth of Balochistan to reject militancy and armed insurgency, urging them to adopt paths of education, patience, and positive struggle.
In a joint press conference today, these scholars issued a unified statement expressing deep concern and sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in the ongoing acts of terrorism in Balochistan.
The scholars stated that they, as religious leaders of Pakistan, were deeply saddened by the ongoing violence and the senseless loss of lives in the region.
They emphasized that Islam unequivocally forbids the killing of innocent civilians, workers, travelers, or security personnel, and such acts fall under the category of “corruption on earth.”
The scholars reiterated that there is no justification in Islam for terrorism, armed rebellion, or damage to public property, regardless of any political or ethnic claims behind them.
Acknowledging the genuine issues faced by the people of Balochistan, such as the need for justice, development, and a dignified life, the scholars emphasized that Islam advocates for peaceful, legal, and ethical solutions to these problems, not violence that leads to further destruction and instability.
