MUZAFFARABAD: The Supreme Court of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday removed the disqualification of former Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas.
Tanveer Ilyas apologized to the Supreme Court in a contempt of court case in which he had been disqualified and removed from the slot of the prime minister.
Tanvir Ilyas was disqualified for two years by the Azad Kashmir High Court in the contempt case in April 2023.
Tanveer Ilyas had filed an appeal in the Azad Kashmir Supreme Court against the High Court’s decision which was accepted.
