LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered drugs worth over Rs.330 million during a series of operations across multiple cities in Pakistan.
According to the ANF spokesperson, six operations were conducted, resulting in the arrest of six suspects, including two Afghan nationals. Approximately 248 kilograms of narcotics were seized during these raids.
Key seizures
At Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, 990 narcotic pills were recovered from an Afghan-British citizen bound for the UK.
In a courier office in Upper Mall, Lahore, a parcel destined for Qatar contained 800 grams of crystal meth (“ice”).
Near Sohrab Goth Bus Terminal in Karachi, an Afghan national was caught with 3.6 kilograms of cannabis.
Close to the Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza, authorities seized 2.4 kilograms of cannabis from a vehicle and arrested two suspects.
Near Niazi Adda, Lahore, two suspects were caught with 700 grams of crystal meth.
In Killi Daman, Chaman, authorities uncovered 240 kilograms of heroin hidden for smuggling.
The ANF has reiterated its commitment to intensifying operations against drug trafficking and smuggling across the country.
