RAWALPINDI: Top military leadership on Tuesday reviewed the country’s internal and external security environment during the 274th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) held at General Headquarters (GHQ).
The session was chaired by Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The forum offered Fateha for the martyrs of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians, paying tribute to their sacrifices and reaffirming that their legacy remains central to Pakistan’s national security.
The military leadership expressed satisfaction over the Armed Forces’ operational readiness and ongoing intelligence-based counter-terrorism efforts, emphasizing that coordinated efforts between the government, military, and public are strengthening national security and economic resilience.
The conference reaffirmed that all terrorist groups and their facilitators, allegedly backed by external sponsors, will be pursued without exception. The forum resolved to continue Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq until terrorist safe havens are eliminated and the use of Afghan soil against Pakistan is effectively stopped.
Participants also reviewed regional developments, appreciating diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East and condemning recent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical facilities, terming them a threat to ongoing peace efforts.
The forum rejected what it described as “baseless allegations and disinformation” attributed to India, while expressing concern over human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including reports of extrajudicial actions.
In his concluding remarks, the Army Chief directed commanders to maintain the highest levels of operational preparedness and professionalism, expressing confidence in the Armed Forces’ ability to counter emerging threats and safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty.
