Soldiers Eliminate 19 Terrorists in Balochistan Operation

ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed 19 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan, while 11 soldiers were martyred in the fighting.

According to security sources, the operation was conducted between Jhao Cross and Kararo on the N-25 highway after intelligence reports indicated that terrorists had blocked the road and were allegedly extorting money from travellers and local residents.

Security forces launched a swift operation, killing 19 terrorists and injuring several others, officials said. During the exchange of fire, 11 Pakistani soldiers were killed while carrying out the operation.

The military said the operation reflected its resolve to protect civilians, secure key highways and prevent terrorist groups from disrupting peace in Balochistan.

No further details about the identities of the terrorists or the fallen soldiers were immediately released.

Authorities said clearance operations in the area were continuing.
