Summer Vacations Announced in Federal Govt Schools
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has officially announced summer vacations in all federal government educational institutions, according to a notification issued by the authorities.
As per the notification, schools, colleges, and other educational institutions under the Federal Directorate of Education will remain closed from May 25 to July 31, 2026. Classes will resume on August 3, 2026.
The announcement applies to all Model Schools and Colleges in Islamabad as well as other federal institutions across the country.
Earlier, provincial education departments had also issued their respective summer vacation schedules. In Sindh, summer holidays will be observed from June 1 to July 31 and will apply to both public and private schools. In Balochistan, schools in hot regions will close from May 23, with vacations continuing until July 31.
Authorities have also directed school administrations to complete all administrative and official record work before the start of the holidays to avoid any disruption after reopening.
The early announcement aims to provide relief to students and staff amid rising temperatures across various parts of the country.
