ISLAMABAD: US President Donald Trump has confirmed that fresh negotiations with Iran could take place in Islamabad within the next two days, indicating Pakistan may once again serve as the venue for diplomatic engagement.
Speaking on the development, Trump praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, describing him as “doing a very good job” and “a remarkable figure,” while expressing confidence in Pakistan’s role in facilitating the talks.
He suggested that returning to Islamabad was likely, questioning the need to hold discussions in a country not directly connected to the matter.
The US president’s remarks signal a renewed possibility of dialogue between Washington and Tehran, with Pakistan emerging as a key intermediary in efforts to ease tensions.
