Two militants killed in Balochistan security operation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Kolpur area of Kachhi District, Balochistan, on Thursday, resulting in the killing of two suspected terrorists linked to the Indian-backed group Fitna al Hindustan.

According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the region.

ISPR stated that the terrorists opened fire on the security personnel, prompting a swift and effective response. After an intense exchange of fire, both suspects were neutralized.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the scene. According to the military’s media wing, the individuals were allegedly involved in multiple incidents of terrorism and subversive activities in the province.

A post-operation sanitization effort is ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats in the vicinity. The ISPR reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces remain resolute in their mission to combat terrorism and will continue operations to ensure peace and stability in the region.

This latest operation highlights ongoing concerns over external support for insurgent groups operating within Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, which has seen periodic unrest and violence in recent years.
