MUZAFFARABAD: A significant political upheaval has unfolded in Azad Kashmir as two more cabinet ministers have decided to part ways with Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq’s administration, intensifying the government’s struggle to retain its parliamentary majority and reshaping the region’s political alignments.

According to sources, Minister for Food Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim and Finance Minister Abdul Majeed Khan have formally distanced themselves from the Anwar government.

In addition, both leaders have announced their withdrawal from the PTI Forward Bloc, marking a notable shift in the internal political dynamics.

A formal press conference is scheduled to take place later today in Muzaffarabad, during which the two ministers are expected to publicly declare their decision.

Reports indicate that both ministers have also resolved to openly cast their votes in support of a possible no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq, a move that could significantly alter the balance of power within the legislative assembly.

As a result of these developments, the government is facing mounting difficulties in maintaining its fragile majority, while uncertainty looms over its future.

Political observers suggest that several other assembly members are also likely to announce their separation from the Forward Bloc and the government in the coming hours, potentially leading to a broader realignment of political forces in Azad Kashmir.
