WASHINGTON: The United States has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information about several senior Iranian leaders, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
According to a statement issued through the U.S. Department of State account of the Rewards for Justice Program, the reward is being offered for information related to 10 key Iranian leaders.
The US government said that individuals who provide useful information could receive a reward of up to $10 million and may also become eligible for relocation to the United States.
The Iranian officials mentioned in the announcement include: Mojtaba Khamenei, Supreme Leader of Iran, Esmail Khatib, Iran’s Minister of Intelligence, Ali Asghar Hejazi, Deputy Chief of Staff, Yahya Rahim Safavi, Major General, Eskandar Momeni, Brigadier General, and Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme Council.
The US State Department alleged that these individuals are involved in directing elements of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which it accuses of planning and organizing terrorist operations around the world.
Meanwhile, Ali Larijani attended Quds Day rallies in Tehran and shared photos of his participation on social media earlier the same day.
