War Against Terrorism Will Continue Until Lasting Peace: CDF

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Asim Munir has said that the fight against terrorism will continue with full national resolve until sustainable peace and stability are achieved across the country.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an investiture ceremony was held at General Headquarters, where military awards were conferred upon officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army.

Field Marshal Asim Munir attended the ceremony as chief guest and awarded honors to the families of martyrs, as well as to officers and personnel in recognition of their exceptional bravery and distinguished services during operations.

A total of 50 Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and 12 Tamgha-e-Basalat awards were presented. The awards granted posthumously were received with dignity and pride by the families of the martyrs.

Paying tribute to the martyrs and veterans, the Field Marshal said that they are the nation’s enduring pride, and their sacrifices remain a sacred trust for every Pakistani. He emphasized that the country’s peace and security are the result of their unwavering dedication and selfless service.

He also commended the resilience, courage, and steadfastness of the families of martyrs, acknowledging their unmatched sacrifices and commitment to the nation.

Reiterating the readiness and determination of the Pakistan Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies, Field Marshal Asim Munir praised their continuous efforts against terrorism and reaffirmed that the mission will persist until lasting peace and stability are secured nationwide.
