107 Pakistanis deported from 12 countries

14 arrested in Karachi upon return for drug peddling and carrying fake currencies.

KARACHI: As many as 107 Pakistanis returned to Karachi separately in the last two days after being deported by authorities in different countries.

These Pakistanis like thousands of their other countrymen were found involved in illegal activities such as fake visas, drug peddling, theft, and smuggling etc. Most of them rotted in jails in different countries were after completing their sentences were kicked out.

After reaching in Karachi, 14 of the Pakistani deportees were arrested and shifted to jails for their involvement in criminal activities in the past.

Immigration authorities said that the Pakistanis were deported from Belgium, America, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq, Qatar, Cambodia, Turkey, Malaysia and other countries.

Illegal activities by Pakistani workers have not only tarnished the image of Pakistan but also created lots of troubles for other Pakistani workers in different parts of the world.

It may be mentioned here that UAE has already blacklisted workers from a number of districts in Pakistan for their bad record and repeated involvement in criminal activities such as theft, drug peddling, possessing fake currency, political gathering, smuggling and hooliganism.
