More independents jump on PML-N’s bandwagons

Five more members-elect announce to join the party after meeting Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore.

LAHORE: Five more newly elected independent members of the National Assembly and Punjab Assembly announced to join by the PML-N in Lahore.

The announcement came after the members-elect met PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif. During the meeting, they expressed full confidence in in the leadership of the party and its vision for the development of the country. 

The members were: Shamsher Mazari from NAc189, Imran Akram from PA 195, Suhail Khan from PA 240, Khizar Hussain Mazari from PA 297 and Muhammad Ghazeen Abbasi from PA 249. 

Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the members for joining the caravan that aims to put the country on path of development and prosperity.

It may be mentioned here that earlier, MPA-elect from OA 97 Chiniot Saqib Khan had announced to join the PML-N. Moreover, in a major blow to the embattled PTI, its Lahore general secretary and MNA-elect Wasim Qadir was the first to switch loyalty and leave the party to join the PML-N.

A day before the general elections, Qadir had released a video clip on social media swearing on oath that be if elected he would remain loyal to the party abd its jailed founder abd former prime minister Imran Khan.
