Asma Shirazi’s brother threatens poor sanitary workers with false blasphemy lawsuit

Assistant Director (Sanitation) Mohsin Shirazi, brother of renowned journalist and anchor person Asma Shirazi, has gone to great lengths in his addiction to power. Protests against the behavior of the officers threatened the Christian sanitary workers to file a false case of blasphemy against them if they did not end the protest.

Assistant Director (Sanitation) Mohsin Shirazi, who was sent to end the protest, rushed to the spot and instead of listening to the demands of the poor sanitary workers and redressing their grievances, he first insulted the poor sanitary workers. He said that if these people do not end the protest, then a blasphemy leaflet should be filed against all of them.

I can see and hear Mohsin Shirazi saying, “File a blasphemy case against anyone who does not listen.” CDA chairman Amir Ahmad Ali initially tried to suppress the issue, but I suspended Asma Shirazi’s brother over protests by the Christian community.

On the other hand, the sanitary workers have filed a petition against Asma Shirazi’s brother in Karachi Company police station. Since then, poor workers have been in fear, so legal action should be taken against Assistant Director Mohsin Shirazi for threatening to misuse the blasphemy law.

The Christian community has announced that if no action is taken against Mohsin Shirazi, the assistant director of the CDA, there will be a nationwide protest. Yes, these favors started on him during the tenure of former PML-N mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz, which is now continuing under CDA chairman Amir Ali Ahmed.

Just last week, a bank security guard in Khushab shot dead a young bank manager in his office on false charges of blasphemy based on personal resentment. In the wake of these incidents, scholars across the country have once again called for legislation to crack down on those who use the blasphemy and blasphemy law for personal resentment and obstinacy.
