Envoy briefs students about Pakistan’s engagement with UN

NEW YORK: Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN Ambassador Usman Jadoon briefed a group of students about Pakistan’s engagement with the United Nations.

The 18-member team of the students belonging to the Rider University Model United Nations visited the Pakistan Mission for a country briefing, says a press release.

Ambassador Jadoon briefed the students about a wide array of multilateral issues with a special focus on Pakistan’s engagement with the United Nations. 

He explained the organizational structure of the United Nations, challenges to the multilateral system as well as the opportunities to make this world a better place.     

Ambassador Jadoon threw light on Pakistan’s contribution to the UN system. 

The briefing was followed by a detailed Q&A session where students asked questions related to UN Security Council, ECOSOC, UNESCO, General Assembly, UNHCR, UNEA, CSW. 

The visiting team, comprised of students from around the world, is representing Pakistan at the 2025 National Model United Nations Conference.
