ISLAMABAD: Authorities in the federal capital have intensified their ongoing anti-encroachment operation with officials carrying out indiscriminate action against illegal constructions across the city.

During the latest phase of the operation conducted near Marriott and Ayub Chowk, a Frontier Corps (FC) camp office built on a greenbelt was also demolished.

The operation was supervised by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, while the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) was also present on site.

Officials said the drive is part of a broader effort to reclaim public land and eliminate unauthorized structures.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi stated that the operation against encroachments would continue without discrimination, adding that all illegal constructions were being removed without any pressure or exception.

He emphasized that a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against land grabbers and encroachers, and no individual or institution would be allowed to occupy or construct illegally on state land.

The minister further said that a legal alternative site would be provided for the FC camp office, while restoring the city’s original layout and removing all encroachments remains a top government priority.
