Four tigers infected with corona virus at the Barcelona Zoo
BARCELONA: According to Spanish media, four lions in a zoo in Barcelona have been infected with the global epidemic Corona virus. The lions were tested for mild symptoms of the corona virus.
The corona virus has infected one male and three female lions. Sixteen-year-old infected female lions are named Zola, Neema, and Run Run, while a 4-year-old male lion is named Kamboh. Spanish veterinarians are estimating how these tigers became infected with the virus. Earlier, two zoo employees had been diagnosed with corona.
Seven tigers were also infected with the corona virus at a New York zoo in April this year. Earlier, a corona virus was confirmed in a pet dog in Hong Kong, the first case of the virus being transmitted from human to animal. Health believes the corona virus cannot be transmitted by pets, but the case revealed that they could be infected.
