CTD says breakthrough made to reach other members of gang involved in attack in which five Chinese were killed.

PESHAWAR: Four terrorists involved in the suicide attack on Chinese engineers in Besham area of Khyber Pakthunkhwa last month have been arrested.

Police said that the Counter-Terrorism Department nabbed the four members of the outlawed Tehreek Taliban Pakistan. It said the investigators have made a breakthrough in the case and would soon reach other members of the outfit involved in this and other cases.

It may be recalled that the Chinese engineers were going to their workplace at Dasu power station site in Upper Kohistan from Islamabad when they were targeted by a suicide attacker at Besham on March 26.

The five Chinese engineers and their Pakistani driver lost their lives in the attack.

The Chinese government asked Islamabad to arrest the culprits involved in the attack and also ensure protection of its nationals working on different CPEC projects in Pakistan.
