The Government of Pakistan has decided to seek financial assistance from international organizations for the advance purchase of anti-corona vaccine. Anti-corona vaccine will be provided to medical personnel on priority basis.
According to the document, the ministry will negotiate for financial assistance from international organizations through the National Health Services Economic Affairs Division. A proposal to contact the World Bank, ADB and UNICEF for financial assistance is under consideration.
According to the document, the cost of purchasing Corona will be discussed with international organizations. The Corona vaccine will be provided to medical staff and patients in critical condition.
Sources said that Nadeem Babar, Special Petroleum Assistant in a high-level meeting on pre-purchase of Corona vaccine, has opposed free distribution of Corona vaccine and said that some price should be fixed for the vaccine.
