ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that blasphemous sketches are not freedom of expression but an attempt to harm Muslims. “Recognize freedom of expression but there is a limit, you can’t hurt anyone”, the purpose of blasphemous sketches is to deliberately hurt billions of Muslims, said the PM.
Addressing the National Sira-ul-Nabi SAW Conference in Islamabad, PM Imran Khan said that a great man like our Prophet (PBUH) has not come into the world.
Continuing his speech, the PM of Pakistan has said that “not stopping blasphemous sketches in the West is a failure of Muslim leadership”. The people of the West do not understand the devotion of the Muslims to the Holy Prophet (PBUH), unless they address Islamophobia, it will increase, he emphasized.
However, PM Imran Khan said that no one in the West can speak out against the Holocaust but why could not billions of Muslims make such a law?
He vowed that he would launch a campaign against blasphemy and Pakistan would lead the campaign. “We have to tell the West that more than millions of testimonials, insulting sketches hurt Muslims” the PM added.
He also said that the OIC and Muslim world would have to work together on the issue of Islamophobia.
