TEHRAN: Following joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran, Tehran has launched retaliatory missile attacks on American military assets in the Gulf region, targeting bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.

In Bahrain, the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters in Manama was hit, prompting authorities to advise civilians to stay indoors and avoid main roads. Explosions and sirens were also reported in Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Doha.

Qatar confirmed that some Iranian-launched missiles were intercepted before reaching national territory, and its security situation remains under control. Jordanian forces reportedly shot down two ballistic missiles over their territory, though it was unclear who had fired them.

Meanwhile, Israel has come under Iranian missile strikes, with over 30 ballistic missiles reportedly launched. Tel Aviv and Haifa experienced multiple explosions, according to Iranian media.

A senior Iranian official warned that all US and Israeli assets in the region are now considered targets, promising broad and sustained retaliatory operations.

As a precaution, the UAE temporarily closed its airspace. Iran’s Interior Ministry has advised citizens to remain calm, describing the attacks as a response to aggression during ongoing negotiations.
