Pakistan to name new ambassadors to 10 countries soon

Foreign Ministry sends summary containing names to Prime Minister for approval.

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has dispatched a summary, containing names for appointment as ambassadors to 10 countries, to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to the summary, the appointment of Rahim Hayat Qureshi as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Brussels and Ambassador to the European Union has been proposed.

Moreover, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhy has been named as the new Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdul Hamid Bhutta to Japan, Moazzam Shah to South Korea, Malik Farooq to South Africa, Adil Gilani to Morocco and Syed Haider Shah has been proposed to be deployed as Pakistan’s ambassador in the Netherlands.

Besides, Adil Shaukat, if approved by the prime minister, will be appointed as the ambassador to Egypt, Muqrab Salim Butt to Switzerland and Shahriyar Akbar as ambassador to Czech Republic.

According to the Foreign Office, the summary will be approved by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif very soon.
