Pakistani Delegation Attends FIFA World Cup Opening

MEXICO CITY: The FIFA World Cup opening ceremony was held in Mexico City with a colorful and high-profile celebration marking the start of the global football tournament.

The event brought together football leaders and officials from around the world, highlighting strong international cooperation and excitement ahead of the competition.

The President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, expressed gratitude to the President of Mexico for hosting a spectacular and well-organized opening ceremony.

He also thanked the co-hosting nations, the United States and Canada, for their preparations and support in staging what is expected to be one of the most successful editions of the FIFA World Cup.

According to media reports, a two-member Pakistani delegation led by the President of the Pakistan Football Federation, Syed Mohsin Gillani, attended the opening ceremony and official dinner. The delegation represented Pakistan at the global event and participated in discussions with football officials from various countries.

During the event, Pakistan’s representatives held meetings with football association leaders from different nations, discussing matters of mutual interest and opportunities for cooperation in international football development.

The FIFA leadership reiterated its commitment to making the tournament historic, emphasizing the use of all available resources to ensure successful execution across the host countries.
