US Senate Rejects Resolution to Halt Military Action Against Iran

WASHINGTON: The U.S. Senate has voted down a resolution aimed at halting military operations against Iran. The measure failed by a vote of 49 against and 47 in favor.

The vote came after the U.S. House of Representatives had previously approved a separate measure supporting efforts to prevent further military action against Iran.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has renewed warnings of possible large-scale military operations against Iran, stating that the country has not yet faced the full extent of U.S. military pressure.

He indicated that his administration is considering launching another round of strikes, potentially larger than those carried out under the previously named “Operation Epic Fury.”

The developments reflect ongoing divisions within the United States over its military policy toward Iran as tensions in the region continue to escalate.
