Political, religious gatherings banned in Islamabad

Section 144 imposed in federal capital territory under which assembly of five or more people is prohibited.

ISLAMABAD: The government on Monday imposed a ban on any political or religious gathering in the federal capital territory.

Section 144 imposed in the federal capital territory under which assembly of five or more people at a place is prohibited. A notification in this regard was issued by the additional deputy commissioner of Islamabad.

The district administration said that action would be taken against organizers of any gathering or public rally or demonstration till the ban remains in force.

It may be mentioned here that jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan has given a call for a march on Islamabad and protests all over the country on November 24th.

In this regard, preparations by the PTI ate underway while Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi is working in Peshawar to mobilize the people for the protest.
