ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has officially ended its austerity policy and issued a notification to restore normal operations.
According to the notification, the policy will be withdrawn effective June 15, after which the court will resume its routine working schedule. The previously implemented four-day work week has also been abolished.
The court has further decided to discontinue cost-cutting measures, including reductions in fuel allowances and other expenditures. Additionally, the work-from-home policy for court staff has been withdrawn.
The austerity measures had originally been introduced in response to prevailing international economic conditions. With the latest decision, the Supreme Court will return to its standard operational framework.
